Web projects are especially fun to manage as they embody the true meaning of “Agile Extreme” development with a mix of people that have borderline behavioral disorders: Web designers, developers, clients, marketing people, writers, etc. To get things done properly, on time, and on budget requires adopting some form of project management. This session will offer up some strategies for managing Web projects in a higher ed environment.

Associate Director, VeloCity, University of Waterloo

Jesse started at the University of Waterloo in 2001 as a Web developer. As associate director at VeloCity, Jesse works with students the community to connect great ideas with people that shape them into brilliant ones. Over the past few years he has also had the role of president of the UW Staff Association. Outside of UW, he organizes community events that bring together some of the most exciting Web entrepreneurs in the Waterloo community as well as volunteers with the Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) helping them realize their Web communications strategy for children's mental health in Ontario.
