Evolving since 1999, Moodle is a open-source learning management system. A competitor to WebCT, Moodle is flexible enough to allow for a full range of modes of teaching – allowing for more student interaction and input. It can be installed on a variety of platforms, and has the interoperability to work with other systems. Take a look at setting up a course in Moodle.
