Proprietary CMS Web solutions are already dead. We just don’t know it yet. Open-source content management systems have gained traction recently because of cost. But in this session you’ll learn the real reasons why you should be considering open source for your enterprise. Chris Dunn of Butler University and Doug Clark of Collegiate Web Solutions, both reformed anti-open source opponents, will share with you their epiphany about why open-source CMS solutions are our only hope in the "Data as Information Age."
Chris Dunn as led Butler University's Web development team for over two years. His extensive experience in development and system architecting has helped Butler re-design its online admissions application and re-engineer their content management system from a home-grown solution to an advanced open-source package.
Doug Clark has over a decade of experience in Web development and content management systems. In his career he architected and built two CMS solutions for large and medium-sized institutions. He now consults on content management issues and CMS solutions for colleges and universities.
