The Road to Xavier website, which recently was awarded the CASE Grand Gold award for the website category - the first such award given in the category's history - is a dynamic, personalized space in which accepted high school seniors can interact with each other, engage with members of the Xavier community, research their financial aid package, and more. The site uses mash-ups of a variety of different technologies including Twitter, Flickr, Google Maps and an in-house developed Facebook-like application. The entire site was developed by Xavier's Web Services team and it integrates with the Office of Admission's customer relationship tool in order to provide the admission staff with rich data on those visiting the site and their level of engagement and interest in the university. It has become a staple of the enrollment management communications stream and has helped in predicting the likelihood of future enrollees. Stop by the poster to hear more about this exciting site and how you may want to consider helping your admission staff with recruitment endeavors.
